Tom Conroy for State Representative

Tom believes in a woman’s right to choose and does not support initiatives to impinge on reproductive freedom or family planning access.  There is a mountain of proof showing that family planning services improve the quality of life of women and their families.  In addition, dozens of reports demonstrate that thorough and accurate sex education leads to more responsible decision making in teens and young adults, and that safe and confidential access to abortion ultimately saves lives.

Goal: Protect Women’s Reproductive Rights

The Supreme Court in 1973 guaranteed the right of women in America to have access to abortion.  Tom does not support recent efforts by states around the nation to block, stall, or complicate that right.  While Tom understands the reasons for not allocating federal funding towards abortion services, he believes that recent attempts by social conservatives to hold legislation hostage while they rehash the debate over federal funding for abortion is unacceptable.

Tom is and will be a resolute defender of women’s reproductive rights.
